JOHN CHAPTER 3 – Daily Journal Questions
Day 1: Nicodemus and Being Born Again (John 3:1-8)
🔹 Question: Jesus told Nicodemus, “No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” (v. 3) What do you think it means to be “born again”? How is this different from physical birth?
Day 2: The Work of the Holy Spirit (John 3:9-15)
🔹 Question: Jesus compared the Holy Spirit to the wind (v. 8). What do you think this comparison means? How does the Holy Spirit help us grow in our faith?
Day 3: John 3:16 – The Heart of the Gospel (John 3:16-18)
🔹 Question: John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” What does this verse tell us about God’s love? How does it give us hope?
Day 4: Light vs. Darkness (John 3:19-21)
🔹 Question: Jesus said, “Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.” (v. 19) What does it mean to walk in the light? How can we choose to live in God’s light every day?
Day 5: John the Baptist’s Humility (John 3:22-30)
🔹 Question: John the Baptist said about Jesus, “He must become greater; I must become less.” (v. 30) What does this attitude teach us about humility? How can we make Jesus greater in our lives?
Day 6: Jesus Speaks of Eternal Life (John 3:31-36)
🔹 Question: In verse 36, Jesus said, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life.” What does this verse teach about the importance of believing in Jesus?
