JOHN CHAPTER 17 – Daily Journal Questions

In Bible Studies, The Book of John

🔹Day 1 – “Glorify Your Son that the Son may glorify You” (John 17:1–5)

Question: Jesus longed to glorify the Father even in suffering. When I face hardship, is my first desire for God’s glory—or for my own comfort or escape?

🔹Day 2 – “This is eternal life: that they know You” (John 17:3)

Question: Eternal life isn’t just about the future—it’s about knowing God now. How well do I really know God personally, and how can I grow in that relationship this week?

🔹Day 3 – “I have manifested Your name” (John 17:6–10)

Question: Jesus revealed God’s character to those around Him. How do my words, attitudes, and choices reflect the nature of God to those in my life?

🔹Day 4 – “Keep them in Your name” (John 17:11–13)

Question: Jesus prayed for our unity and protection. Am I contributing to unity among believers—or is there someone I need to forgive, reconcile with, or better support in love?

🔹Day 5 – “Sanctify them in the truth” (John 17:14–19)

Question: God’s Word is truth that sets us apart. How seriously do I engage with Scripture—not just for knowledge, but for transformation?

🔹Day 6 – “That they may all be one” (John 17:20–23)

Question: Jesus prayed that believers would be united so the world would believe. What barriers to unity exist in my heart or church—and how might Jesus be calling me to break them down?

🔹Day 7 – “I desire that they… be with Me where I am” (John 17:24–26)

Question: Jesus wants us near Him, now and forever. Do I live with a longing to be with Jesus—or have other loves distracted me from that desire?
