JOHN CHAPTER 13 – Daily Journal Questions
Day 1 – Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet (John 13:1–5)
🔹 Question: Knowing His time had come, Jesus chose to serve. When I face stress, pressure, or significant moments, do I turn inward or outward in love?
Day 2 – Peter’s Resistance (John 13:6–11)
🔹 Question: Peter struggled to accept Jesus’ act of humility. Are there ways I resist Jesus’ cleansing or grace because it feels uncomfortable or humbling?
Day 3 – “Do as I Have Done to You” (John 13:12–17)
🔹 Question: Jesus redefined greatness through servanthood. How can I practice humble service today—especially when it’s unnoticed, inconvenient, or toward someone difficult to love?
Day 4 – Judas Is Revealed (John 13:18–30)
🔹 Question: Jesus knew Judas would betray Him and still washed his feet. How do I respond to people I know may hurt me or already have? Can I still love with open hands?
Day 5 – “Now Is the Son of Man Glorified” (John 13:31–32)
🔹 Question: Jesus saw the cross as the moment of His glory. What does this teach me about God’s definition of glory—and how does that challenge my own ideas of success or honor?
Day 6 – The New Commandment (John 13:33–35)
🔹 Question: Jesus says the world will recognize His followers by their love for one another. How would others describe the love they see in my relationships with fellow believers?
Day 7 – Peter’s Bold Claim and Jesus’ Prediction (John 13:36–38)
🔹 Question: Peter was confident in his loyalty, yet unaware of his weakness. Where might I be overconfident in my faithfulness—and how can I grow in both humility and dependence on God?
