JOHN CHAPTER 19 – Daily Journal Questions

In Bible Studies, The Book of John

🔹 Day 1 – “Behold the man!” (John 19:1–6)

Question: Pilate presented Jesus bruised and beaten before the crowd. When I “behold” Jesus, do I truly see the suffering Servant—and what does His sacrifice stir in me?

🔹 Day 2 – “We have no king but Caesar” (John 19:7–16)

Question: The religious leaders rejected their true King to preserve their comfort and control. Are there ways I choose worldly security over the reign of Christ in my life?

🔹 Day 3 – “They crucified Him” (John 19:17–22)

Question: The cross stands at the center of our faith. What does the crucifixion mean to me personally—and how should it shape the way I live, love, and lead?

🔹 Day 4 – “What I have written, I have written” (John 19:19–22)

Question: Pilate unintentionally proclaimed truth in writing “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” How do I bear witness to Jesus—whether I intend to or not—through my choices and words?

🔹 Day 5 – The Soldiers Divide His Garments (John 19:23–24)

Question: As Jesus suffered, people were indifferent, focused on trivial gain. Am I ever guilty of spiritual numbness—missing the holy in the midst of the ordinary?

🔹 Day 6 – “Woman, behold your son” (John 19:25–27)

Question: Even in agony, Jesus cared for others. How can I follow His example by showing compassion and concern, even when I’m going through my own struggles?

🔹 Day 7 – “It is finished” (John 19:28–42)

Question: Jesus completed the work of redemption on the cross. Am I still striving to earn what Jesus already accomplished? What would it look like to truly rest in His finished work today?
