John himself tells us why this book was written:

“This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.” – John 21:24 (NIV)

John wrote so that we might know Jesus personally, trust that His words are true, and experience the abundant life He offers.

   Jesus gives clear direction for how to follow Him, love others, and live with purpose and joy. His words in John 15 remind us to remain in Him, because apart from Him, we can do nothing.

   When people encountered Jesus in John’s Gospel, they couldn’t keep it to themselves! Philip told Nathanael, “Come and see.” (John 1:46) Studying this book will equip you to confidently share your faith with others.
