JOHN CHAPTER 2 – Daily Journal Questions
Day 1: Jesus Turns Water into Wine (John 2:1-5)
🔹 Question: When Mary tells Jesus about the problem at the wedding, He responds, “My hour has not yet come.” (v. 4) What do you think Jesus meant by this? What does this teach us about God’s timing?
Day 2: The First Miracle (John 2:6-11)
🔹 Question: Jesus’ first miracle was turning water into wine. What does this miracle reveal about His power and His care for people’s needs? How can this encourage you in your own life?
Day 3: Jesus Clears the Temple (John 2:12-17)
🔹 Question: When Jesus saw people misusing the temple, He became angry and cleared them out (v. 15). What does this tell us about how God wants us to treat His house and worship Him?
Day 4: Zeal for God’s House (John 2:17)
🔹 Question: The disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” (Psalm 69:9) What does it mean to have zeal for God? How can you show passion for honoring God in your daily life?
Day 5: The Sign of Jesus’ Authority (John 2:18-22)
🔹 Question: Jesus told the religious leaders, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” (v. 19) He was talking about His body. Why is Jesus’ resurrection so important for our faith?
Day 6: Many Believed in Jesus (John 2:23-25)
🔹 Question: People saw Jesus’ miracles and believed in Him, but Jesus knew their hearts (v. 24-25). What does this teach us about the difference between true faith and just being amazed by miracles?
